SOUND BATHS
Comments from Sound Bath Sessions.
Can't recommend highly enough, Nathan's Sound Bath Sessions are AMAZING.
A great session, we need more of these.
Sound baths, also known as sound journeys, provide the perfect opportunity to relax and unwind.
Benefits include; Stress, anxiety and depression relief - relieves PTSD - trauma, fear and phobias - aids disregulated emotions -boosts immune system -improves sleep/treats insomnia - boosts energy - gives clarity of mind - overall sense of ease & wellbeing - releases stuck energy - unblocks creativity - positive effect on nervous system - balances hormones - promote a more positive outlook on life -
During a typical session you are invited to sit or lay down, close your eyes and focus on the sounds of the carefully chosen instruments.
I can play for between 30 minutes to an hour and half, depending on your choice of session. I play each instrument individually allowing you to be completely absorbed in each of their unique sounds and vibrations.
Sound baths can be performed in a one-to-one or group setting, in your home or work environment, but ideally in a place where you can relax.
I am taking sound baths to places where they can be most benefited from, to people suffering from life impeding conditions, like MS and Cerebral Palsy, Stroke, people in Palative care, into Mental Health via my local Recovery College, and I am aiming to be able to take the sessions into schools, hoping to work with Behavioral Units for young people suffering from trauma, stress and anxiety

THE SCIENCE OF SOUND .......
is based in physics and the scientific fact that all things in our world are in a constant state of vibration. Our bodies are made of approximately 70% - 80% water, and are wonderful carriers for sound vibrations. We hear not only through our ears, but also through our skin. Every cell has receptors to pick up vibration, thus, frequency and sound have a very deep impact on our bodies. Sound healing uses the principles of resonance and entrainment, using instruments to firstly match the client's state, and then slowly entrain' the body, mind, soul and spirit back to a state of optimum health. The sound frequencies of the instruments played induce the alpha and theta brainwave states associated with deep meditation, and in this state deep healing and relaxation can take place.

Science and conventional medicine are also utilizing sound, such as ultrasound in diagnostic technology; lithotripsy (infrasonic sound) to break up kidney and gall stones; and recently in the treatment for tinnitus (TRT). Music and sound are used to treat patients with dementia, alzheimers, autism, stroke, premature babies to name but a few.
